About this course

University of West London offers Health Psychology MSc as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Psychology. Based in Ealing, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.

Tuition is £17,250 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 86. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

BDM Consult's advisors can guide you through entry requirements, scholarship eligibility, and visa support — from initial application to offer letter.

Entry requirements

Applicants will have a second or first-class award (1st, 2:1 or 2:2) at undergraduate level in psychology (or a related social or medical science subject). Ideally your undergraduate study will have had a research methods component evident across the degree and a final year research project/dissertation. It is recommended that applicants will hold Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC with the British Psychological Society (BPS)) if they intend to pursue further training in psychology in the UK, but this is not a specific requirement of entry. You may also be considered for course entry if your undergraduate studies are outside of the social or medical sciences, but you can demonstrate evidence of work experience relevant to a clinical or health psychology context alongside your undergraduate qualification. Please note: If you would like to obtain GBC with the BPS at this point, or you are completely new to Psychology, you may wish to apply for a place on our MSc Psychology of Mental Health (Conversion) course.
