About this course
University of Surrey offers BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science as a 3-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree with Honours programme in Sport Science. Based in Guildford, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £27,000 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 88. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
A level: BSc (Hons):ABB-BBB. Required subject: At least one from: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Sport Studies, Physical Education, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology or a related subject. Students not taking a science A-level but are performance athletes, as identified by the Team Surrey coaching team can be considered for Sports and Exercise Science with Foundation Year BSc. If you are an athlete competing at a national or international level, please contact performance@teamsurrey.co.uk to discuss whether you would qualify.A-level General Studies and A-level Critical Thinking are not accepted. GCSE or equivalent: English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 (C). International Baccalaureate Diploma: BSc (Hons):33-32. Required subjects: HL5/SL6 in a science subject. GCSE or equivalent: English A HL4/SL4 or English B HL5/SL6 and Mathematics (either course) HL4/SL4.
