About this course
University of Strathclyde offers PGDE Secondary Education - English as a 36-year postgraduate Graduate Diploma programme in Economics. Based in Glasgow, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £20,950 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 80. The next intake is August, 2026.

A maximum of 40 SCQF credit points can be taken from any of the following areas:
At least 80 SCQF credits in English. 40 of these SCQF credit points must be in Literature (this could include texts translated into English.

- At present, it's difficult for all potential student teachers to access schools to gain experience in support of their application for programmes of Initial Teacher Education. Where possible, opportunities should be sought to gain experience in contexts which involve working with children and/or young people.
