University of Southampton offers BEng Maritime Engineering with Foundation Year with Industrial Placement Year as a 5-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree with Honours programme in Marine Engineering. Entry requirements
A-levels: AAB including mathematics (minimum grade A) and either physics, chemistry or further mathematics. International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 34 points overall including 17 at Higher Level, with 6 at Higher Level in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) or 7 (Applications and Interpretation), and 5 in Chemistry or Physics; applicants lacking these subjects may apply for the Engineering/Physics/Mathematics Foundation Year. RQF/QCF BTEC: D in the National Extended/Subsidiary Certificate plus AA from two A-levels including mathematics and either physics, chemistry or further mathematics; we consider the National/Extended Diploma in Engineering alongside A-level mathematics, and the National Diploma alongside mathematics and either physics, chemistry or further mathematics. Applicants must hold GCSE English language (or English) and mathematics at minimum grade 4/C.
