About this course
University of Portsmouth offers Architecture MA as a 17-month postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Architecture. Based in Portsmouth, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £17,900 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 91. Intakes run across 2 windows (Autumn (September), 2026 and Spring 4 (January), 2027).
Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

Entry requirements
A minimum of a second-class honours degree in a relevant subject such as Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Geography, Spatial Practice, History, Fine Art or a design-related subject, or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications. An online portfolio submission may be required as part of the selection process.
