About this course

University of Plymouth offers MSc Advanced Professional Practice in Paediatric Dietetics as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Nutrition. Based in Plymouth, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.

Tuition is £19,550 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 90. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Scholarships are available to international applicants.

BDM Consult's advisors can guide you through entry requirements, scholarship eligibility, and visa support — from initial application to offer letter.

Entry requirements

• Candidates should normally have a first degree, BSc (Hons) at 2.1 or above or European first cycle equivalent in dietetics. • You should have experience of professional practice in paediatric dietetics. • Note that successful completion of this pathway does not lead to eligibility to apply for registration as a dietician with the Health and Social Care Professions Council. • Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from overseas students for this programme as it does not comply with the current Student (formerly Tier 4) visa requirements. You will be assessed individually for your ability to study at this level and therefore an interview may be necessary. You will normally be required to submit a short piece of writing as part of the admissions process.
