About this course
University of Kent offers MA Film with Practice as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Film and TV production. Based in Canterbury, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £19,300 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 80. The next intake is Autumn 1 (October), 2026.

Entry requirements
A first or second class honours degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent). Applicants will be expected to provide a sample of written work or a sample of practical work (a film / short film / script) with your role in the production clearly stated within the credits (writer, director, art director, etc.). All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.
