About this course
University of Kent offers LLM/PDip Law (Human Rights Law) as a 15-month postgraduate Graduate Diploma programme in Political and Social Sciences. Based in Canterbury, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £13,800 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 87. Intakes run across 2 windows (Spring (January), 2027 and Autumn 1 (October), 2026).
Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

Entry requirements
We require a first class or upper second class honours degree in law or a relevant subject, or an equivalent international degree and we also welcome applications based on a lower second class honours degree which we will consider on a case-by-case basis alongside your relevant professional experience and other qualifications. All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.
