About this course
University of Kent offers PhD Sport and Exercise Science and Sports Therapy as a 3-year doctoral Ph.D. programme in Sport Science. Based in Canterbury, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £23,500 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 80. Intakes run across 2 windows (Spring (January), 2027 and Autumn 1 (October), 2026).

Entry requirements
An MSc, or a first or upper-second class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science or related subjects. All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.
