About this course
University of Hertfordshire offers BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering as a 3-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree with Honours programme in Civil Engineering. Based in Hatfield, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £17,450 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 72. Intakes run across 2 windows (Semester 1 (September), 2026 and September, 2026).

Entry requirements
UCAS points- 112-120 A Level -BBC-BBB - from three A levels only to include A Level Maths at minimum of grade C . Other A levels may come from a selection of either engineering or technology, science, design, computing or business related subjects. General studies/critical thinking not accepted BTEC - DMM-DDM - Extended diploma in engineering (DMM) to include distinction in further maths. IB- 112-120 points from three HL subjects at grade 5 or above to include HL Maths and either engineering, technology or environmental subjects GCSE: Grade 4/C in English Language and Mathematics. IELTS - Score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band) TOEFL IBT - 72 with band scores of reading 18, writing 17, listening 17, speaking 20, Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 51 (with no less than 42 in any band)
