About this course
University of Greater Manchester offers MRes Computing as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Research) programme in Computer Science. Based in Bolton, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £17,500 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 80. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
You are normally expected to have successfully completed an honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as computing or software engineering (minimum classification 2.2 or equivalent), or a degree and 2 years’ experience working in a technical role within computing. If you do not have a relevant degree or relevant experience of working within computing, you may be eligible for the MRes Applied Artificial Intelligence.
