About this course
University of Derby offers MA Film and Screen Production as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Film and TV production. Based in Derby, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.

Entry requirements
Applicants are normally expected to hold an appropriate first degree in Film, Writing, or a related discipline (minimum 2:2), a professional qualification of equivalent standing, or substantial practical or professional experience gained after their initial qualification that supports their application. Depending on qualifications, experience, and the quality of their portfolio, applicants may be invited to attend an interview, either at the University or online. During the interview, applicants are expected to present their portfolio and provide a plan outlining how they intend to use the MA programme to further develop their practice.
