University of Derby offers MA/MDes in Design as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Product Design. Based in Derby, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.

Entry requirements
Applicants are normally required to hold an undergraduate degree (minimum second class) in a related subject, or an equivalent qualification, and must submit a 500-word project proposal along with a portfolio of their practice. Depending on qualifications, experience, and the quality of submitted work, applicants may be invited to attend a portfolio interview, typically conducted online. The interview provides an opportunity to demonstrate enthusiasm for Design, discuss interests and experimentation within the field, and explore questions related to the course. Applicants will also be expected to outline their intended focus of study, including specific pathways, and present and discuss their previous work.
