About this course
University of Derby offers MSc Forensic Psychology as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Forensics. Based in Derby, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £17,500 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 87. The next intake is Autumn (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
Applicants are required to hold a British Psychological Society (BPS)–recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology (minimum 2:1) or an equivalent qualification that confers Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the Society. Those whose qualifications do not confer GBC may also apply, provided they hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:1; however, GBC remains a requirement for eligibility for Chartered Membership (CPsychol) of the Society and full membership of the Division of Forensic Psychology (DFP). Applicants with a 2:2 undergraduate degree are advised to contact the Programme Leader. Additionally, applicants must provide one academic and one vocational reference.
