About this course
University of Derby offers Master of Public Health as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Public Health. Based in Derby, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £17,500 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 87. Intakes run across 2 windows (Autumn (September), 2026 and Spring (January), 2027).

Entry requirements
Applicants are normally expected to have either a minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2) or above in a public health–related science from a UK university, the CNAA, or an overseas equivalent recognised by the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC), or qualifications and experience deemed equivalent. All applicants applying via the equivalent route will be assessed and, if necessary, interviewed by the Programme Leader. In addition, applicants must hold a GCSE grade C/4 or above in English language, or an equivalent certificated qualification, regardless of their previous educational background.
