Entry requirements
A typical offer requires 112 UCAS tariff points. For A levels, this equates to BBC, including a relevant Science subject at grade B or above. T Level applicants must achieve a Merit, with a subject-specific requirement in Science. For the BTEC Extended Diploma, a grade of DDM is required in Applied Science, and applicants are advised to list the units studied on their application for assessment. Applicants on Access to Higher Education Programmes must achieve 112 UCAS tariff points from a Diploma in a Science subject, including a minimum of 12 credits in Biology or Chemistry at Distinction. International Baccalaureate applicants must achieve 112 UCAS tariff points, including Higher Level Chemistry or Biology at grade 6, plus HL 3 or 4 in Maths and in English Language and Literature A or English B. Additionally, A level and BTEC Extended Diploma applicants must hold GCSEs in English, Mathematics, and two Sciences at grade C or 4 (or equivalents), while Access programme applicants must hold GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C or 4 (or equivalents).
