University of Birmingham offers MEng (Hons) Computer Science and Software Engineering as a 4-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree programme in Software Engineering. Entry requirements
Applicants are required to achieve A*AA at A Level, including grade A in Mathematics. For the International Baccalaureate, the requirement is 7,6,6 at Higher Level, including a 6 in Mathematics, with a minimum of 32 points overall and at least 5 in Standard Level English. A minimum of three A Levels is required, with A Level Mathematics at grade A as a compulsory subject; General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted. BTEC qualifications are only considered in combination with other qualifications, which must include A Level Mathematics (or equivalent); however, BTEC IT is not accepted alongside A Level Computer Science. While it is desirable for applicants to have some experience in computer programming, this is not essential. Please note that Access qualifications are not suitable for this programme.
