Entry requirements

Candidates must already have a completed MRes (Master of Research) or equivalent from a recognised university. We also consider applications from candidates seeking to transfer their PhDs from other universities who have already completed the MRes (Master of Research). Please note that a Master’s degree that is not an MRes (e.g. MSc in Management) will not be accepted for non-integrated PhD entry, and candidates without an MRes will must enrol on the Integrated programme instead.

Master’s degree: A distinction (strongly preferred) in a discipline such as management, social sciences, behavioural sciences, or engineering.

Bachelor’s degree: A first-class degree (strongly preferred) in a discipline such as management, social sciences, behavioural sciences, or engineering.

Our PhD programme is competitive, and we seek motivated, talented individuals with demonstrably high intellectual ability who are committed to excellence in research.
