About this course
Ulster University offers Computer Science BSc (Hons) as a 4-year undergraduate Bachelor of Science (with Honours) - BSc (Hons) programme in Computer Science. Based in Londonderry, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.

Entry requirements
NB Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills -Application of Number is NOT acceptable as an alternative to GCSE Grade C Mathematics for entry to this course.
Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English.
For this course, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics.

Overall profile of 15 credits at distinction and 30 credits at merit (60 credit Access Course) (GB Access Course); to include a 20 credit Level 2 Mathematics module, passed at 40% or successful completion of NICATS Mathematics as part of the pre-2021 Access Diploma.
Overall profile of 63% (120 credit Access Course) (NI Access Course); to include a 20 credit Level 2 Mathematics module, passed at 40% or successful completion of NICATS Mathematics as part of the pre-2021 Access Diploma.
Access to Higher Education (HE)
Higher or Subsidiary Level in Mathematics and English Language required at Grade 4 or above.
Minimum of 25 points (12 at Higher Level)
International Baccalaureate
We will also accept smaller BTEC/OCR qualifications (i.e. Diploma or Extended Certificate / Introductory Diploma / Subsidiary Diploma) in combination with A-Levels or other acceptable Level 3 qualifications.
