About this course
Teesside University offers MSc Cyber Security with Advanced Practice as a 2-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in IT Security. Based in Middlesbrough, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £10,000 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 60. Intakes run across 4 windows (Semester 3 (May), 2026 and Semester 3 (May), 2027…).
Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

Entry requirements
You will normally have a first degree in related discipline (2.2 minimum) or relevant experience or equivalent qualifications. Relevant disciplines include artificial intelligence, computer forensics, computer science, computer security, computing, cyber security, data science, digital forensics, games programming, information technology, software engineering.
