About this course
Teesside University offers Doctorate Business Administration (DBA) as a 39-month doctoral Ph.D. programme in Business Administration. Based in Middlesbrough, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £12,375 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 60. Intakes run across 2 windows (October, 2026 and Semester 2 (January), 2027).
Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

Entry requirements
The DBA is designed for people who have achieved or expect to achieve, senior organisational positions and/or who wish to enhance their analytical and research skills and knowledge.
- A master's degree: applicants should have a master's degree in a subject that has aspects that relate to business and/or management.
- +3 years' management experience: all applicants should have a minimum three years' managerial experience.
