About this course
Queen's University Belfast offers PGCE Education (Science) as a 1-year postgraduate Graduate Certificate programme in Teaching and Education. Based in Belfast, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £22,400 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 90. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
All applicants must possess the following: An Honours degree (and/or higher degree) or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University, relevant to teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and at least one of Physics or Chemistry or Biology to A- level. Degrees in cognate areas may be considered if 50% or more of the modules studied are deemed currently relevant to teaching the chosen science for which you have applied (either Physics, Chemistry or Biology); At the time of application, GCSE Mathematics grade C/4, and GCSE English Language grade C/4 or equivalent qualification.
