About this course
Queen's University Belfast offers MSc Applied Cyber Security as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in IT Security. Based in Belfast, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £26,500 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 80. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
Normally a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Mathematics with Computer Science, Physics with Computer Science or a related discipline. Applicants must normally have achieved 2:1 or above in relevant modules. Applicants who hold a 2.2 Honours degree and a Master’s degree (or equivalent qualifications acceptable to the University) in one of the above disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
