About this course
Leeds Beckett University offers BA (Hons) Primary Education (5-11) with Qualified Teacher Status as a 3-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree with Honours programme in Teaching and Education. Based in Leeds, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £16,000 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 60. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
UCAS Tariff Points: 120 points required (Minimum 80 from two A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies. Equivalent qualifications include CACHE and BTEC Nationals.), GCSEs - GCSE English Language, Maths, Science and two other subjects at Grade C or above (Grade 4 for those sitting their GCSE from 2017 onwards) or equivalent. Key Skills, Functional Skills and the Certificate in Adult Numeracy/Literacy are not accepted in place of GCSEs, Access to HE Diploma- Pass overall with a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, T Levels - Pass overall with a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, including a C or above on the core, Scottish Awards - 120 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade B or above, Irish Leaving Certificate - 120 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade B or above, International baccalaureate - 120 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above. IELTS 6.5 with no skills below 6.5, or an equivalent qualification, TOEFL iBT total of 79 to 89 Minimum for Reading (18), Listening (17), Speaking (20) and Writing (17).
