About this course
Leeds Beckett University offers BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy as a 3-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree with Honours programme in Speech Pathology. Based in Leeds, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £16,000 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 7.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 60. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
UCAS Tariff Points: 128 points required, GCSEs - GCSE English Language, Maths and Science at Grade 4 or above (Grade C for GCSEs taken before 2017) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs. Please note the GCSE science requirement can also be met through a range of level 3 science qualifications including A levels, BTEC and Access to HE Diplomas, Access to HE Diploma - Pass overall with a minimum of 128 UCAS tariff points to include at least 15 merits in science, T Levels - Pass overall with a minimum of 128 UCAS tariff points, including a C or above on the core, in a relevant subject, Scottish Awards - 128 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade B or above and to include at least two subjects from; Chemistry; Physics; Biology; Applied Science, English Language; Psychology; Sociology or any foreign language, Irish Leaving Certificate - 128 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 subjects at higher level of which at least 3 must be grade H3 or above and to include at least two subjects from; Chemistry; Physics; Biology; Applied Science, English Language; Psychology; Sociology or any foreign language, International baccalaureate - 128 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above to include at least one scientific or language subject. IELTS 7.5 with no skills below 7.0, or an equivalent, TOEFL iBT total of 79 to 89 Minimum for Reading (18), Listening (17), Speaking (20) and Writing (17).
