About this course
Lancaster University offers MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Linguistic. Based in Lancaster, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £25,320 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 87. Intakes run across 3 windows (Michaelmas (October), 2026 and Summer (April), 2027…).

2:2 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) in a related subject is normally required. We will also consider applications where you have a degree in other subjects and/or extensive relevant experience. In these cases, you should clearly demonstrate how your experience and skills have prepared you for postgraduate study.
