About this course
Heriot-Watt University offers MA Fashion and Textiles Design with Industry Placement as a 18-month postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in Crafts and textiles. Based in Galashiels, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £13,637 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 85. The next intake is Semester 1 (September), 2026.

You should hold Min 2:2 honours degree or non-UK equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognised British or overseas university. In addition, work or project experience in a related company role will be taken into consideration as part of the application process.
The programme attracts students primarily from an art and design background, and expects that each student develop their own design collection.
