About this course
De Montfort University offers MSc/PG Dip/PG Cert Cyber Security as a 1-year postgraduate Masters Degree (Taught) programme in IT Security. Based in Leicester, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £18,600 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall. Intakes run across 2 windows (Spring (January), 2027 and Autumn (September), 2026).
Scholarships are available to international applicants. The programme includes an industry internship element.

Entry requirements
Applicants will normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above in a relevant subject. Relevant subjects include but are not limited to: Computer Science, Computer Security, Informatics, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Cyber Security, Software Engineering. If you have no formal academic qualifications but do have extensive industry experience, we will consider your application on an individual basis.
