About this course
Brunel University of London offers MDes (Hons) in Product Design Engineering as a 4-year undergraduate Bachelor Degree programme in Product Design. Based in Uxbridge, the programme is delivered by the university's specialist faculty and welcomes international applicants from across Africa and beyond.
Tuition is £24,795 per year. English-language entry requires IELTS 6 overall or TOEFL iBT 77. The next intake is Autumn (September), 2026.

Entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 and above are also required, to include Maths and English Language.
T Levels : Merit overall in one of the following subjects: Design & Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing & Control Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing, Building Services Engineering for Construction Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.
Obtain a minimum of 128 UCAS tariff points in the Access to HE Diploma in Engineering with 45 credits at Level 3. All Maths units must be passed with Distinctions at level 3.
International Baccalaureate Diploma 31 points, including 5 in Higher level Maths or Physics. GCSE Maths equivalent of SL 2 or HL 2.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate grade D in any subject with A Levels grade BB including A level Maths or Physics.
A Level Grade B in any subject with BTEC Level 3 Diploma DD in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering including Distinction in Further Maths or Further Mechanical Principles (QCF) / Dynamic Mechanical Principles in practice or Further Engineering Mathematics (RQF).
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma DD in any subject and an A Level at grade B in Maths or Physics.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (RQF) DDM in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Distinction in Dynamic Mechanical Principles in Practice or Further Engineering Mathematics
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (QCF) DDM in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Distinction in Further Maths or Further Mechanical Principles modules.
GCE A Level AAA-ABB, including Maths or Physics (General Studies, Critical Thinking and Use of Maths not accepted).
